Great Season!
This year has been great. So far the dogs have earned us two plaques, a trophy, and a ribbon. The worst we have done is 4th place. I'm very happy with my dogs.
For the next month or two I'll be focusing in on some distance training. The girls need to work on pulling consistently and they all need to work on increasing our miles.
I'm confident that despite the fact that my girls had lymes at one point, they are in great health and have what it takes to rule the trails. I tried to make excuses early this year and avoided entering them in races and focused on Canicross with Nemo. However, recent activities and practice runs have shown that they were born to run and are ready to go.
My goal this year is to get up to 30 to 35 mile runs. That's going to be a lot of time on the trails and I'm hoping to enjoy every minute of it.
This year all I have to say is, "6 dog teams, watch out! There's a 3 dog team on the trail."
